First and foremost, I love food and cooking... a lot! Unfortunately, I have also struggled with weight issues for most of my life. Two years ago, my husband and I started a food realignment process to lower weight, lower blood pressure, and generally improve our health and longevity. This journey to a healthier version of us led to evaluating how we cook, what we buy, and what we eat. As a result, I have spent the past two years modifying recipes and creating new revised recipes with focus on low sodium (gasp! chefs are crying now) and fresh ingredients. Making these changes worked, no more blood pressure issues and we are both at healthier weights.
Why Foodie Trix?
Love of food and finding different trix and techniques to make recipes healthier and fairly easy to prepare.
Inspiration
My husband and two kids are the other reason I am starting this blog. They all support me in all my endeavors. They also love my cooking. Finally, both of my kids are adults now and for the last few years have repeatedly asked me to write a cookbook.... my response is this food blog.
What should you expect to see on Foodie Trix? Healthy recipes, a few more decadent recipes, foodie photos and information about places we eat (let's call it inspiration), and you may even see the occasional wine or cocktail pairing.
